5 Reasons Every Family Should Keep This Book at Home
For generations, Amish families kept practical household remedies close at hand. Here’s why this book deserves a permanent place in your home.
You Won’t Have to Trust Random Advice From Google
When someone in your family isn’t feeling well, the last thing you want is to spend the next hour jumping between websites, videos and forums that all say something different.
One page tells you one thing, the next completely disagrees. Instead of searching through endless opinions, this book gives you one organized place to start.
Simply find the symptom, open the page and follow the traditional preparation as it’s presented. It’s a calmer, simpler way to keep practical household knowledge close whenever your family needs it.
You’ll Know Where to Start When Someone Feels Unwell
Uncertainty is often the hardest part. Most people don’t know where to begin, so they end up searching article after article, hoping to find an answer they can trust.
This book was designed to remove that uncertainty. Every preparation is organized by symptom, making it easy to find the right page in seconds. Instead of wondering what to do next, you’ll have a clear place to begin whenever someone in your family needs your care.
Everything Is Organized by Symptom
The value of this book isn’t just what’s inside, it’s how quickly you can use it when it matters. Instead of wasting precious time flipping through hundreds of pages or searching online, simply look up the symptom and turn directly to the right preparation.
Every remedy has been carefully organized so you can find what you’re looking for in seconds. When someone in your family needs you, the last thing you want is confusion. This book helps you spend less time searching and more time caring.
The Ingredients and Preparation Steps Are Clear
For generations, Amish families carefully passed these traditional household remedies from one generation to the next, preserving not only the preparations but also exactly how they were made.
This book brings that knowledge together in one place, with clear ingredients and easy-to-follow preparation steps organized for everyday use. Instead of trying to piece together incomplete advice from different sources, you’ll have a practical guide designed to help you care for your family with confidence whenever the need arises.
It Brings Together Traditional Amish Remedies Shared Across Generations
When it comes to caring for your family, the last thing you want is to rely on scattered information from strangers online. This book brings together traditional Amish household remedies shared from generation to generation, organizing them into one practical guide that’s always within reach.
Instead of searching through endless opinions, you’ll have a single place to turn whenever you want trusted traditional knowledge close at hand. Because when it comes to your family’s well-being, having one organized source is far better than wondering which advice to believe.
Why I Put This Knowledge Into Your Hands
For most of my life, I watched the same scene happen again and again.
When someone in our community was not feeling well, nobody searched Google or jumped from one video to another. The family opened an old notebook and looked through the preparations their parents and grandparents had left behind.
Some notebooks were worn, stained and filled with notes. Others had been copied by hand so many times that nobody knew who had written the first version. But they all contained something that is difficult to find today: one trusted place to turn when your family needs you.
Over the years, I realized that this knowledge was disappearing. Older generations were passing away, and with them went recipes, measurements and preparation methods that had never been published.
That is why I spent more than eight years studying old family notebooks, comparing preparations, removing repeated versions and adapting the quantities to modern measurements. I then organized everything by symptoms and needs, so you would not have to know the name of a plant before knowing where to begin.
I did not write this book to replace a doctor. I wrote it so that, when someone in your family needs care, you do not have to face fifty internet pages contradicting one another. I wanted you to be able to open one book, find what you need and know exactly where to start.
I created only 500 numbered copies of this first edition. I did not want to manufacture thousands and turn it into another disposable product. I want each copy to remain in a home for years, gather notes in its margins and, one day, pass from one generation to the next.
This is not a book you read once and leave on a shelf. It is the book you keep close for when your family needs you.

How many copies would you like me to send for you and your family?
Questions, answered.
What makes this book different from any other natural remedies guide?
I did not gather random advice found on the internet. For more than eight years, I collected, compared and organized traditional household knowledge that Amish families have shared from generation to generation.
Our way of life has always been connected to simplicity, daily activity, traditional food and the responsible use of what nature provides. I wanted to preserve part of that practical knowledge before it disappeared with the older generations.
How will I find the information I need?
I organized the book by symptoms, conditions and needs—not by plants. I did this because, when someone in your family is not feeling well, you probably know the problem, but you may not know the name of the herb you should look for.
You simply locate the corresponding symptom or need. There, you will find the ingredients, quantities and preparation steps clearly explained, without having to piece the information together from several different sources.
Does the book only cover illnesses?
No. I included an enormous variety of illnesses, symptoms and everyday needs. You will find traditional preparations related to respiratory problems such as asthma, skin conditions such as psoriasis, digestive discomfort, pain, inflammation, sleep, circulation, joints, eyes, throat, hair, energy and seasonal wellness.
I also included goals and situations that are not illnesses, such as quitting smoking, caring for the skin, improving certain habits and preparing salves, infusions, syrups, oils, compresses, poultices and tinctures.
The list is so extensive that I could not include all of it on this page. That is precisely why I organized the book so you can search directly for a symptom, condition or need and quickly reach the related traditional preparations.
Why can’t I simply find this information on Google or YouTube?
Because much of this knowledge was never published online. It was shared discreetly within families, and each household protected its own notebooks, observations and preparation methods.
During my research, I found some preparations online, but many were incomplete, altered or mixed with contradictory versions. I did not want to add another page to that noise. I wanted to create a physical reference where every preparation remained together with its ingredients, quantities and steps.
Who created The Amish Home Pharmacist?
My name is Elias Fisher. I am 67 years old, and my family’s story is connected to the Old Order Amish community of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
For more than eight years, I studied old family notebooks, compared preparations used in different households, removed duplicate versions and adapted the quantities to modern measurements. I then organized everything by symptom so any family could consult it without previous knowledge of plants.
I did not write this book because the world needed another health guide. I wrote it because too much practical knowledge disappears every time an older generation is gone.
Why did you create only 500 copies?
I never wanted to turn this book into another mass-produced product. I decided to prepare a limited first edition of 500 numbered copies and personally inspect every copy before it leaves my hands.
I want this to be a book that remains in the home for years and can be passed on to the next generation. Once these 500 copies are gone, I will study the families’ feedback and decide whether it makes sense to prepare an improved new edition. I cannot guarantee that it will be printed again.
